Day Five 9-30-08

Tuesday, 9-30-08 - A little activity the past couple of days. They have started setting up the forms and have hauled in a lot of re-bar.

Day Four 9-26-08

Friday, 9-26-08 - Stopped by lot at 5:30 pm. The only activity are these frames with lots of strings. Must be preparation for the foundation forms going in next week.

3rd Day 9-25-08

Thurs. 9-25-08, 12:30 pm - I'm standing 'below' what will be the guest bedroom/art studio/exercise room.

9-25-08 - When I came by at 4:30 pm all the big equipment was gone. They had dumped more crushed rock in the driveway up to where the garage will be (above). It looks like they are finished with the terracing. Good view of the 4 levels in picture below. Next they start putting up the forms for pouring the foundation.

Day Two 9-24-08

Wed. 9-24-08 - I stopped by the lot at 5:30 pm. Tons of dirt and rocks have been hauled in and they have started the "terracing" in preparation for the foundation.

Official Ground Breaking Day 9-23-08

9-23-08 - He just scraped out our new driveway. They began bringing in truckloads of fill dirt and dumping it in the driveway before loading the trucks up with limbs to haul away.

9-23-08 - Hauling all the trees away & digging a trench for the rolls of hay that will absorb the construction runoff.

They brought in this 'big guy' to dig out the stumps and put in the trucks to haul away.

Dumping the load of fill dirt first while 'big guy' is waiting to load up with tree limbs. Quite the production line they have going. Very efficient.

This gives a good idea of how big the tree was that he just cut down. The 2 trees directly behind are next.

They had hauled the big tree away and now down comes the other 2 trees.

9-15-08 - I'm kneeling where my new overflow soaking tub will be.




9-12-08 - The sign for our new address. All of the trees behind Ted will be removed within the next week.



9-12-08 - Ted standing at what will be our Front Door.

Our lot is the top 3/4 of the big lot in the middle. It's on Owl's Nest Road (road at top of picture).
